About the Recipe

Ingredients

3/4 cup lemon juice
7 1/4 cups water
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 cups ice

Preparation

Because you're using the whole lemon, wash the lemons first. Roll the lemons, cut in half, then squeeze the juice until you get at least 3/4 cup of lemon juice. This should be approximately 4-5 medium lemons.
Slice the squeezed lemons and set aside.
Add the water and sliced lemons to a large pot and bring to a slight boil over medium heat (about 8 minutes).
Add in the sugar and stir until dissolved.
Using a strainer, pour the sugar water into a pitcher, making sure to catch any seeds and pulp.
Add in the fresh lemon juice, stir. Add ice and let chill 2-4 hours in the fridge. Serve and enjoy!
NOTES
Wash lemons thoroughly.
Adjust sugar to taste. Reduce sugar for a more tart lemonade.
Store in the refrigerator fro best freshness.
