These cherry cheese danishes are easy to make and sure to please. Using Hawaiian rolls filled with a sweet and fluffy cream cheese filling, a dollop of cherry pie filling, and topped with a drizzle of vanilla icing, this recipe is a quick and easy way to recreate those store bought cherry cheese danishes...only better!

Ingredients
1 package Hawaiian rolls, 12 count
1 package (8oz) cream cheese, softened
1 large egg
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup cherry pie filling
For the Icing
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 - 2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray an 8x11 or larger baking dish with cooking spray.
Using a small sharp knife, cut out squares from the top of each individual roll, making sure not to cut all the way through to the bottom. Pull out the cut squares and discard or save for later use.

In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, egg, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.

Spoon the cream cheese mixture into each of the Hawaiian rolls, filling to the top.

Add a dollop of cherry pie filling to the top of each roll.

Bake in the oven uncovered for 18-20 minutes, or until the cream cheese filling is set. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes.
Mix the icing together and drizzle over the top of the rolls. Enjoy!
