Chocolate Chip Pecan Banana Bread

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick butter), softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas, about 3

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour one 9-inch loaf pan.

  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix well.

  3. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; combine with the butter mixture.

  4. Stir in the sour cream, vanilla, and bananas.

  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.

  6. Pour into prepared pan. Pan should be 3/4 full of batter. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center of bread comes out clean.

  7. Cool for 10 minutes in pan, then turn the loaf out onto a wire rack.
