Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick butter), softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mashed ripe bananas, about 3
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour one 9-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix well.
Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; combine with the butter mixture.
Stir in the sour cream, vanilla, and bananas.
Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
Pour into prepared pan. Pan should be 3/4 full of batter. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center of bread comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes in pan, then turn the loaf out onto a wire rack.
